We're seeking donations to help a family member who has recently immigrated from the Democratic Republic of Congo. To protect this person’s identity, we cannot disclose specific details of their story, but they are a young person, in their early twenties, hoping to build a life in Canada after a series of difficult experiences. We are now seeking funds to support dire legal fees and the daily cost of living for a month as they navigate this transition. We are also hoping to purchase a mattress, clothing, and a few other items to get them started. Due to various medical issues, as well as insecure housing, my family is limited in how much we can support them at this time. They are currently living in a shelter hours away until we can reunite with them. It would mean so much to be able to help this person, and receipts will be posted to ensure that the funds have been properly allocated.
