Our Story
Hello—my name is Calvin, and I’m a father doing everything I can to stay present in my lovely 5-year-old son’s life. Recently, I received some very tough news in my ongoing custody case that will create significant financial hardship and place an undue burden on my ability to provide for him. That’s why I’m turning to this community for help. It's not easy for me to ask for help, but my son is my world and I will do anything I can to protect his livelihood.
What’s Happened
Over the past four years, my son has been caught in the middle of a high-conflict court battle. His mother, her family and friends have aggressively sought to limit parenting time with my son, prevent trips and family vacations, drain me of financial resources, and even block our calls. I’ve spent countless hours and all my savings on attorney fees, court costs, and support payments, just to keep our connection alive.
Now, a recent ruling has added even more legal expenses and altered support obligations, threatening my housing stability and ability to pay basic bills. Despite working full-time and giving every ounce of myself to be the best dad I can be, I’m staring down a gap I simply cannot fill on my own.
