A Helping Hand for a Struggling Teacher and Her Son
The saying goes, “We have not because we ask not.” With humility, I am reaching out because my son and I truly need help during this difficult season.
As a teacher, I dedicate my time and energy to helping students grow and succeed. However, right now I find myself in a position where I need support as well. Despite working hard, recent financial challenges have placed a heavy strain on my household.
After covering essential bills and trying to catch up on expenses, my funds have been depleted, and I am currently in the negative. One of the biggest challenges I am facing right now is being able to afford before and after-school care for my son. Without it, I will have to arrive late to work and leave early, which could negatively impact my job.
Transportation has also become a growing concern. The high cost of gas has added additional stress and makes it harder to manage daily responsibilities like getting to work and taking my son where he needs to go.
You may wonder what happened financially. I was trying to make necessary repairs to my home and was unfortunately misquoted on the work. Because of that, I ended up spending far more than expected, and despite the expense, the house is still unfinished. What was meant to improve our situation ended up creating an unexpected financial setback.
At this time, my son and I are simply asking for assistance to help us bounce back. Any support, no matter how small, will help relieve the burden of childcare, transportation, and other basic needs while I work to regain financial stability.
Your kindness, prayers, and support truly mean more than words can express. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for helping a struggling teacher and her son move forward.
With gratitude,
Ersertavia & TJ
