On Saturday, 2nd May, our local community was struck by an unimaginable tragedy. While playing out with his friends at our local park, 15-year-old Brodan Dubickas tragically lost his life whilst helping others when a tree bough fell.
Brodan was a remarkable young man—kind, polite, incredibly hard-working, and full of life. As a passionate footballer, dedicated local referee and talented pool player as well as a fiercely proud big brother, his warmth and bright smile truly lit up every room he walked into. His sudden passing has left a massive hole in our hearts and has deeply saddened the entire community. I am setting up this fundraiser as a local friend of the family. My own children are friends with Brodan’s siblings, which has brought me close to his mother, Lindsey Dubickas. As a parent and a friend, watching this beautiful family go through such unbearable pain is completely heartbreaking. They are the most genuine, polite, and hard-working people you could ever wish to meet, and right now, they need our collective strength. Our goal is to wrap this family in love and relieve some of the financial burdens during this horrifying time. The funds raised will go directly to Lindsey and her family to offer support in whichever way they need it most—whether that is helping toward funeral costs, easing the strain on their home, or ensuring they can up to take vital time off work to grieve and heal together as a family. No parent should ever have to experience this pain, and no siblings should have to say goodbye to their brother so soon. Please consider donating if you are able, or sharing this page to spread the word. Every bit of support, no matter how small, will make a massive difference to a family that means so much to all of us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity.
