For as long as we can remember, we've wanted to be parents. So, when Ben asked me on our third date if I wanted kids, it was a question as easy to answer as the one he asked me six months later in the sanctuary of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church (pictured above). Eager to become parents, we even opted for a short engagement, not knowing our journey to parenthood would last over four years and include five miscarriages (and many misleading diagnoses, multiple surgeries, and several treatments along the way).

After losing our fifth baby at the end of July, we are heartbroken and still determined to get our babies here. Since I can't seem to carry our babies in my body and we long to carry them in our arms, we are planning to use a surrogate, and we need your help. Surrogacy includes several expenses, such as attorney and agency fees, medical insurance and maternity clothes for the surrogate, among many more. While we've saved some money for this, we could use your help with the difference.

Above all, what we're asking for is hope; that's what this fundraiser feels like. So, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for hoping with us, believing with us, and helping us realize our dream of becoming parents to two biological children. We love you and our babies so much.
