Hello,
I am a mother on a mission to make a change in my community.
Over lockdown I had been hosting weekday workouts on my Facebook live in a bid to hopefully get some over mother’s like myself out of a similar rut that I was in. Long story short being a single mother with a 3 old son is hard, I am diagnosed with Depression & Anxiety and I am aware that the level of Mothers living with this also is astonishing. I have opted for a natural dopamine realise over prescribed medication most recently but not always! I have found that working out in the mornings for short amount of time seriously helps my moods and therefore creates a better day for me be me and my son. I wanted to share this and let others know that they too can workout at home with a toddler and start feeling better within them selfs. I didn’t expect the response that I received many women from all walks of life saying they felt the same as me, all ages and different types of women came together to work out to feel better, encourage each other and be part of something on my page!! The women have reached out to inbox me and tell me how I have made an impact on them and their well-being and this has inspired me to not stop here.
Since this lockdown I have registered a Community Interest Company called The Better Buzz and I am looking to gain a space to hold daily activities and groups for people in my community who need it most. Ideally I would a Community Cafe or access to one.
I would like to to hold fundraisers and do sponsored events to get the funding needed to put this into place.
This space will be for anyone who made need assistance and referrals to the right organisations.
After the Pandemic I know people are screaming out for a outlet and some normality and a safe space to be.
Please help me to help others.
