Hi, my name is Gary Oldfield and I am trying to raise funds for Jacqueline and her family, please read their story.

Help 98 year old Jacqueline fight for her home and her dignity
this fundraiser is for Jacqueline, a gentle and deeply loved 98 year old mother, whose final years have been filled with heartbreak, fear, and injustice.

A few years ago, Jacqueline and her family were completing a small property development in Norwich a project meant to help secure the family’s future. When the funds ran short, they sought short‑term financial help and were introduced to a man who promised to assist them. He appeared to be a respected professional, someone they could trust. What started as a simple two week loan soon turned into the beginning of a nightmare.

Despite her hesitation, Jacqueline was convinced to use her treasured family home in West Runton as collateral, it was either use the house or nothing. That house wasn’t just bricks and mortar it was a place filled with memories of her late husband, the laughter of children, and nearly a century of life and love. She signed the papers believing it would only be for a short time that everything would be fine.

But soon after, everything began to spiral. The repayment arrangements were delayed and made more complicated deliberately buy the lender, and the family’s efforts to make things right were blocked at every turn. Before they knew it, the situation had worsened beyond anything they could have imagined. Jacqueline, at over 90 years old, was forced out of her lifelong family home.

The emotional toll was unbearable. To see a woman of her age who had lived her entire life with kindness, dignity, and trust in others lose everything she had worked for was devastating beyond words. There were moments of fear, threats, and deep emotional pain that have left lasting scars. The family lived in constant anxiety, moving from house to house to stay safe from these monsters, and struggling to protect their elderly mother while trying to piece their lives back together.

With enormous effort and the involvement of the authorities, Jacqueline’s family fought to regain their home, and against all odds, they succeeded. But the fight is still not over. The other party is now pursuing them in court, continuing a battle that has already caused immeasurable suffering.

Jacqueline now lives in a care home, her once‑sharp mind fading with dementia. She often asks about her home the garden she loved, the view she used to wake up to and her family can only reassure her gently, hiding the pain of what they’ve been through.

This family has endured more than anyone should, and they need help to keep going. They are raising £12,000 to cover legal costs and ensure they can continue to defend their case, protect Jacqueline’s legacy, and finally find peace.

For safety reasons, we cannot share their photos at this time, as the family still lives in fear. But please know this is real. This is a plea for compassion and kindness for a woman who deserves to spend her remaining days surrounded by love, not legal battles.

Please, if you can, help Jacqueline and her family find justice and peace. Every donation, whatever the amount, will make a difference.

Thank you for reading, and for standing with Jacqueline in her time of need.
