Help Zion & Her Kids Find Safety and Stability

My name is Zion, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help. For the past six months, my children and I have been living in a state of uncertainty and fear, and we need your support to give us a chance at safety and stability.

In September 2024, my children and I were evicted from our temporary accommodation by Gravesham Council, which left us street homeless. Since then, I’ve been staying with my mother, hoping and praying for a positive outcome to an appeal I made against the council’s decision. Unfortunately, we are still living in limbo, waiting for the independent manager to review my case.

Despite every effort to seek support whether through my local MP, legal advice from Citizens Advice Bureau, or social services—Gravesham Council continues to reject our homelessness application and refuse to provide us with any permanent accommodation. The situation has become increasingly unbearable for both me and my children. My living arrangement with my mother has become mentally and emotionally unsafe for us, and on March 23, 2025, a dispute arose that led to the police being called. This has only intensified the fear and stress hanging over our heads.

I’ve tried my best to keep us afloat. Currently, I’ve been funding a hotel stay for myself and my children, but the costs are overwhelming. I can’t afford to continue this long-term. The toll it’s taking on us, emotionally, physically, and financially, is breaking me, but I refuse to give up.

I’m asking for any support you can give no matter how small—so that my children and I can stay in a safe place and work toward rebuilding our lives. The money raised will help us stay in the hotel while I continue to fight for housing and stability, and to keep a roof over our heads while I work to secure our future.
