Hi, I’m Zhanna, for my big birthday, I’m making one wish: for your kindness to help me bring hope in such dark and sad times. My nephews and nieces have lived through horrific trauma and shock. Their dad was unjustly arrested overseas, acquitted by the jury — yet still sentenced to 10 years by a corrupt system. He’s been behind bars for over 2 years. The appeal was denied. The family has lost everything.

The children are devastated; they haven’t had a single break, living in constant uncertainty, fear, and pain. While their dad is imprisoned, their mom is in courtrooms and agencies constantly, fighting to bring their dad home.

So this summer, they’re coming to stay with me. I want to give them a much-needed respite, to heal their sorrows, and to bring a little summer joy to their broken hearts. Your gift will help me care for them, for transportation, travel costs, extra furniture, insurance, food and clothes, daily needs, and the unpredictable medical costs as well.
