Help Zeynah's family as she fights for her life
Donation protected
On Monday, March 13th, 2023, 9-year-old Zeynah who had just come home from school went into anaphylactic shock after eating something she did not know she was allergic to.
Her Parents called the ambulance, and she was rushed to Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. She has been on life support ever since.
Zeynah’s family had just moved to this town two weeks ago and had hardly settled into their new lives before this tragedy befell them.
Currently, Zeynah is unable to breathe on her own and her parents Maryam and Nils (Nazir) are by her side in the hospital day and night, as they watch their daughter fight for her life.
Zeynah's 7-year-old little sister, Ziva, is having an especially hard time processing the trauma of what she witnessed and seeing the condition her sister is now in.
First and foremost, we ask you for your prayers – for little Zeynah to survive this tragedy and come home to her family in complete form. However, we also imagine the road ahead to be tough, either way.
Even if by God’s will and utmost mercy Zeynah is to miraculously wake up, complete recovery may take time. Depending on the extent of damage to her brain, she may need extensive physical and/or cognitive therapy.
And this is where you come in, as the community behind this family in need.
We are asking you for your support to help the De Groef family get through this testing time without having to worry about going back to work or being burdened by any unforeseen costs in their very difficult journey ahead.
Please give whatever you can to help. May we all be protected from such a heavy trial and test of our faith and resilience.
