Let’s Do It For Zeke!!!!

I can’t do it alone.
We, can’t do it alone.
We need your help.

My name is Deidre and I am Zeke’s Middle daughter. I created this page for Him in hopes to help relieve him of what the road ahead of him is showing to be.
Before starting a GoFundMe, I can’t imagine that every single person contemplates if this is the “way to go about it.” It demands vulnerability as well as transparency. But when the going gets tough, it seems that this is one of the most immediate and supportive portals you can “rally your troops.” After all, the saying goes, “there’s power in numbers.”
I have no doubt that every single person reading this who has met my Father, hasn’t been wildly touched by him in some way. That’s Him. Zeke! The Ukrainian King! He’s the human that you never forget. He has vibrato, gusto, charm, charisma, strength, and the most beautiful kind heart. He will do anything for anyone and doesn’t hesitate to help others…most specifically, his Family.
With how much joy he has given, I create this page for the ability to return the joy back to him. In an amount bigger than I / our Family is capable of doing on our own.

Our Father has recently had a silent heart attack, fractured femur in conjunction with a torn labrum and deteriorated hip. This all happened VERY quickly. If you know Zeke, you know so much of his vigor comes from his extreme ability to sustain a healthy lifestyle (both mentally & physically), determined work ethic like no other, and a non victim mindset. Up until the end of May, he was STILL working 13 hour days, 5-6 days a week, delivering 50+ lbs of auto equipment for an Auto company. Take a moment and truly think about what that work week is. Let alone for a person of his age. He had to take on this second job back in January when his LED Lighting business took a hard hit. Almost in conjunction with taking on this more physically demanding and tasking job did his physical constitution start to rapidly decline right in front of our eyes. Our Family can’t almost believe it when we look back to pictures only 6 months ago. The difference in our Dad is night and day. And yet at 80 years old, he never complained ONCE when doing a job that most 18 year olds aren’t even willing to stick with. Unfortunately not working this job was not an option. This is the part that crushed me most as I believe it was this intense level of stress he was under that induced the silent heart attack. Levels of stress I only hope you never have to see your Parents be under. It’s quite sickening. But here we are now. He just had hip reconstruction surgery on Aug 6th, and they’re still trying to figure out how to navigate the silent heart attack since this version of a heart attack is never brought to the person’s attention upon its onset. Hence the word “silent”. So it comes with more question marks and dots to be connected. This all has our attention and concern on how to allow him the ability to heal without the stress of not being able to work for the foreseeable future. At 80 years old, he should technically never have to work again. That’s not the position we as a Family have the luxury of doing. If you know Me, if you’ve ever even spent 5 minutes with me, you know I love my Dad more than anything in this world. He has been the most outstanding, stand up, honorable, humble, loving, and honest Father I could ever be blessed with. Equally as a Husband too. My Mom, my Sisters and I, turn to this genius platform to help garner the financial support and availability my Dad deserves. I’m going to set the bar high because at his age, his healing is going to be a very “slow and steady wins the race.” This isn’t a 6 month turnover. We’ve been told by his medical team that this warrants and demands a lot of grace and time. They are also starting to discuss the possibility of needing to operate on his other hip in January. Therefore, in order for my Dad to be able to honor the time his body needs, and the mental capacity to destress, I would be elated if I can offer him financial relief to cover the overhead medical expenses and bills that are piling up that he is not able cover while unable to work for the foreseeable future. He is a Vietnam Vet. He is an Usher at his Church. He has given the “guy living on the street” half of his sandwich and his last $5 bill at times before not getting paid himself ‘till days later. This is the type of man my Father is and the type of love and support he deserves to receive back!
My Mother, Sisters, & my incredible Aunt have been collectively doing our best to sustain and help cover our Dads overhead but we’re now starting to pour from empty cups ourselves. Which we all know, doesn’t get anyone anywhere productively. I’m exhausted mentally and physically at trying to pull every string and pull every cat out of numerous hats to generate excess income just so my Dad can have peace of mind.

So, with all of this, I say thank you for taking the time to read this and please realize how far even one single dollar goes. IT ALL ADDS UP!!! And if that isn’t feasible, just sharing this can make that small difference that comes back in BIG ways. Your prayers are the most powerful as God hears all of them and that too, will help open up a way as the good book repeats, “God provides.”
We are so grateful to have such a strong network of friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, and kind humans surrounding Us. And we trust in all of you to help us show my Dad he is worth ALL OF IT! Let’s do it for Zeke!!!!!!!!!! I’m setting this bar as high as the relief I want to see on his face when I gift him this abundance! Mind you, he has absolutely NO idea that I’ve turned to this platform and he might not be thrilled when he finds out. But in the end, I trust that he will feel all of the deserved love, respect, honor, and support from the amount of people that rally for him! Please Share on your stories! Text the link to your friends! Heck, if you own a prominent business or have a strong following, let’s join forces and do a day of action where part of the proceeds can contribute towards my goal! I feel motivated and inspired by the positive impact this will have on his heart and mind.

We will update you with his progress as well! God bless You ALL and thank you for sharing your compassion and sense of urgency with Us!

Love, his middle daughter Deidre, and Family.
