Help Zara Rebuild After the Fire
Donation protected
A year and a half ago, after many pleas for my mom (Zara) to move to Los Angeles from the Bay Area, she made the big decision to move here to be closer to her family. It was an emotional move for her, as we are still mourning the sudden loss of her husband, Daniel, in 2020. She had just begun to settle into her new home in the Palisades, ready to embrace this new chapter, when her home was completely destroyed in the devastating Palisades fire, and she lost everything in an instant.
While we are so grateful she made it out safely, driving through the Palisades with flames engulfing the hills on both sides of her car, starting over from scratch is an overwhelming and heartbreaking process. All her belongings, including irreplaceable keepsakes from her life with Daniel and our family’s journey from Armenia, are gone. We are asking for your help to support her in rebuilding her life once again, replacing essential items, and finding a new place to call home. Your kindness and generosity during this difficult time mean more to us than words can express, and we are so grateful for all your calls and emails to check in on us during this awful time for so many residents of Los Angeles.
