Help Zaire and Jayla After A Devastating Apartment Fire
Donation protected
On June 24, 2025, a massive fire tore through the Cassidy Apartments in Fort Worth, Texas. More than 800 people were displaced, including our son, Zaire Harris, and his girlfriend, Jayla Young. Zaire and Jayla are a hardworking young couple who moved to Texas just six months ago with hopes of building a strong foundation and creating a meaningful future together.
Jayla recently graduated from college and, despite this tragic event, she continues to pursue her education with strength and determination. Both she and Zaire have remained committed to making positive life decisions and contributing to their community. They were just starting to settle into their new life when the fire changed everything in an instant.
They escaped with only the clothes they were wearing and are currently without a home. Their apartment is uninhabitable, and the timeline for when they can return to assess the damage is still unknown. In the meantime, they are relying on their savings to meet basic needs such as food, hotel stays, and essential items.
As their families, we are doing everything we can to support them, but we are reaching out to ask for help. Any amount you can give will go directly toward helping Zaire and Jayla get through this incredibly difficult time. Your donation will provide relief with temporary shelter, meals, toiletries, clothing, and other urgent needs.
We believe in their resilience and know that with a little help, they will overcome this hardship. If you are not able to donate, please consider sharing their story and keeping them in your prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity.
With gratitude
