My name is Zaher Al Kharoubi, a 34-year-old Gazan. I’m a husband and father of a my one and half year old Zaid.

I’m writing this message from Gaza City, in the northern part of Gaza Strip. That's where I grew up, and made lots of good memories with my family and friends.

Over the past 7 months of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, I lost my job, and with no electricity or stable internet connection I also lost my freelance work.

For the first few weeks of this ongoing genocide, I managed to survive off my savings, but with the extreme food prices, and basic necessities, I ran out of money pretty quickly and I went to debt trying to secure basic needs for my family's survival .

The ongoing increase in food prices and other basics for our survival, rendered me helpless to manage our life in this dire situation. I refused to seek any help or assistance before, but now I have no choice but to turn to you compassionate souls, to help me support my family.

The funds will be used as following:

$10,000 CAD to help survive the next few months until I'm able to stand on my feet again and be self-supporting.

$5000 CAD to pay my debts, that I accumulated during the past 7 months to secure food for my family.

$5000 CAD to get solar panel, batteries and internet connection using e-sims, so that I can resume my freelance work.

$5000 CAD to do some repairs in my house after it was impacted by the nearby bombardment.
