Help Zachary Hamilton

HI ALL!
My name is Erin Hamilton, I’m Zachary’s mom. Last year in May, Zachary suffered a freak accident which rendered them an incomplete quadriplegic.
-Zachary identifies as non-binary, they are part of the LGBTQ+ community as a gender neutral/non-conforming person/trans.-
Zachary suffered from a C5, C6, C7 and T1 vertebrae tissue rupture and complete nerve disconnection due to multiple spinal seizures in the cervical vertebrae and partial plasticity deterioration due to a slight necrotic infection in between aforementioned vertebrae.
Zachary is only just 24 years old. All of this happened right as Covid began. I have never seen such courage and strength from anyone in my entire life. Zachary has endured tremendous trauma and yet still is determined to walk again. They stay consistent in their physical and occupational therapy. Zachary has had to put their artistic career on hold as their hands and wrists do not work well anymore. However, they’re still finding new and creative ways to produce works despite severe musculoskeletal pain (art IG account is @zacharythamilton !)
I am in awe of Zachary on a daily basis. It is a tremendous financial responsibility to help them. They are currently living in a hotel with their partner and are both unfortunately very far from any loving family in a fairly unfamiliar area.
They had to leave where they were originally staying, as their caretaker was very emotionally, psychologically and physically abusive..
Raising this money would help Zachary feel dignified by allowing them to obtain a residence. We cannot at this time afford a place for them to live.
This will allow them to get the help they need for at least 6- 10 months!
We desperately need your help, and it’s come down to this GoFundMe as the most viable option for us at the moment.
Zachary is an incredible person who just needs a place to call home and continue the therapy they need in order to get on their feet... (in more ways than one!!!!)
This help would provide them with a handicap roof over their head to start- and allow them to continue their therapy, while I also save money to continue this help.
We would all be SO incredibly grateful for any help anyone can give and vow to pay it forward in the future.
We are both sober members of AA and are openly committed to helping others.
Any donation-in any amount-, and/or any sharing of this page would be incredibly helpful and appreciated !. ❤️ Thank you all
