I wouldn’t normally ever do this, but my significant other, Zach, needs help after a terrible accident. Zach took a bad fall off a roof at work and shattered both feet. He is non-weight bearing for at least three more months after two surgeries, and is now wheelchair bound. For someone whose life and work revolve around framing houses, this has made everything much more complicated.

Zach has always supported his children and family in huge ways, providing above and beyond at all times. Now, we aren’t sure when he will even be able to go back to work. He faces a long road to recovery, not only being unable to bear weight but also needing to learn to walk again. Zach helps tremendously in the daily care of Waylon and his needs, and he also provides for his oldest son while he attends college. With no insurance, surgeries, and major medical care, the strain is overwhelming.

On top of everything, Zach is having to move into a new home because the one he is in is on the market. His lease expires March 15, and he’s found a place that is ADA equipped, but finding the deposit and first month’s rent is difficult due to circumstances. Proceeds from this fundraiser will help with housing, childcare, basic everyday needs, monthly expenses, and moving deposits. Any help is greatly appreciated and can make a huge difference on this road to recovery.
