Construction Project in Biga, Kenya

Hello dear community,

I am asking for your help today to raise funds for my dear friend in Kenya who is trying to finish building a house before the rains come.

He currently lives in a thatched mud house with his sister, nephews, and chickens. Their current house is far from rain proof, with large holes in the roofing and the walls buckling with humidity.

We have been working on finishing the new house since 2022. Over three years, we have finished up until the roofing, however we need help finishing a few last steps before it is liveable - windows, doors, flooring, and installing some basic plumbing.

Why am I fundraising for this ?

The money spent on construction goes towards employing people from the local village in doing masonry, carpentry, and other small construction work, as well as towards local businesses. The money spent on this house so far has spread far and wide into the community, which otherwise struggles due to lack of income sources. I hope to raise 4000$ to employ folks from the village to finish construction.
