Hello, my name is Vivi Nyx and i come from Switzerland. I am a artist student who study comic and game art. I am the beneficiary of this campaign for the family of Yousef who live in Gaza.
Here his words :
Hello, my name is Mohammed, and I’m from beloved Gaza. I’m a father of two children - Yousef (5 years old) and Sondos (7 years old). My wife, Ghada, and I launched this fundraising campaign to help our family overcome this unbearable ordeal.
Our Story :
On October 7, the devastating war on Gaza broke out. In the first week, we were forced to flee our home, fleeing from the north to the south of Gaza amidst the terrifying sounds of airstrikes and F-16s. Explosions shook the ground, and flames engulfed our surroundings. Then we received phone calls and recorded warnings urging us to evacuate south toward Wadi Gaza. We found shelter in an UNRWA displacement center, where we stayed for a week.
When the situation calmed down, we returned to our home, only to receive another warning that our neighborhood was at risk of shelling. We quickly left again, staying with relatives for three days. But as the threat of an Israeli ground invasion grew, we had no choice but to flee again, this time to another UNRWA shelter in Khan Younis.
The Struggle for Survival
Life in the shelter was unbearable. There was no food, no clean drinking water, and no proper sanitation. Overcrowding was extreme, and we lacked even the most basic necessities. The little food we had consisted mostly of canned food—far from being nutritious.
Winter made the situation even worse. There were insufficient blankets, and the bitter cold made survival even more difficult. Our children fell ill repeatedly, and every day was a struggle to find clean water and enough food.
After months of suffering, the Israeli army bombed the shelter we were in. Once again, we were forced to flee—this time to Az-Zawaida in central Gaza. Here, we lived in a makeshift tent made of worn fabric and torn plastic sheets. It offered no protection from the scorching summer heat or the bitter winter cold. Our children continued to fall ill due to the harsh conditions, and we had no income to provide for them.
Returning to Nothing
After the ceasefire, we finally made our way back to Gaza City—only to find total devastation. With no income and no means to rebuild, survival has become nearly impossible. The city is in ruins, and basic necessities remain scarce.
We Need Your Help
Since being displaced, we have been left with nothing. Life in Gaza has completely collapsed—there is no food, no clean water, no healthcare, no schools, and no businesses. Prices for basic necessities like vegetables, fruits, and even cleaning supplies have skyrocketed beyond reach.
Every day is a fight for survival.
Your support—no matter how small—will make a difference. Any amount you give will help us afford food, clean water, and essential supplies to keep our children alive.
Please stand with us during this desperate time. Your kindness could be the reason my family in Gaza makes it through another day.
