Help young Ukrainian family settle in Ireland

We recently opened our home to a young Ukrainian family that had to leave their home of Kaharkiv, in the East of the country. Due to the war in Ukraine, they had to leave quickly and arrived in Ireland with only their backpacks and one gym bag between all 4 of them.

The mother is 29, and the daughters are 3 and 7. The mother’s 19-year-old niece also traveled with them and is staying with us too. Even with everything they have been through, they have kept smiling and laughing, and the kids have been able to play again.

We are hoping to raise money to help them get settled in Ireland and start rebuilding what they once had. This includes helping them with a deposit for an apartment, English lessons, medical costs, schooling, and a few other things they may need. The hope is to have them in their own apartment or home soon enough and we are working towards this at the minute.

We know this won’t be a quick process, but we are hoping to do as much as possible to make it easier for them. Everyone so far has been amazing with their kind offers to help any way they can, and we can’t begin to tell you how much it is appreciated.

The hope for this page is to raise enough money and reach the target so that this family can begin their new life in Ireland with independence and hope.
