In 2024, Yeshua’s Hand Foundation was born from a simple desire, to help people who are struggling and to remind them that they are not forgotten.

Our journey took us to Riverton, Kingston, Jamaica, where we met a woman and her family who were facing incredibly difficult circumstances. She did not have a proper toilet, was struggling financially, and needed support to provide for her children.

We travelled to Jamaica not simply to give, but to listen, understand and stand alongside people in need.

Through the generosity of family, friends and supporters, we were able to provide financial assistance, practical support and tablets for children, helping them with their education and giving them access to resources that many of us can easily take for granted.

But what started with helping one family soon became something much bigger.

With donations from people in the UK, we were able to take clothes and shoes to Jamaica and distribute them within the community.

We also raised around £2,500 which allowed us to provide support where it was needed most, including:

• School fees and educational costs

• Vests and underwear for young people

• Clothes and shoes

• Food and essential household supplies

• Support for families experiencing financial hardship

• Tablets and educational resources for children

Seeing the difference these things made reminded us that sometimes what may seem small to one person can mean everything to someone else.

These aren’t just donations. They can provide dignity, opportunity and hope.

As we grow, we want to be able to provide more families with food packages containing everyday essentials, including:

A food package isn’t just a bag of groceries.

We also want to support people with the everyday essentials that are sometimes overlooked, but make such a difference to a person’s health, comfort and dignity.

• Sanitary pads

• Underwear for females and males

• Body lotion

• Soap

• Slippers

• Deodorant

• School books

• Pens and stationery

• Torches

• Batteries

• Basic over the counter medication such as paracetamol and ibuprofen

Every item has a purpose.

Every donation can meet a need.

And every person we support matters.

We don’t want to simply do what we’ve done before.

We want to go bigger. We want to go further. We want to reach more people.

Our experience in Jamaica showed us what can happen when people come together with compassion and a willingness to help.

As we look towards 2027, our hope is to expand Yeshua’s Hand Foundation and reach even more families and children who are experiencing hardship.

After the impact of hurricanes and other challenges that communities can face, families can find themselves without essential items, food, clothing and the resources their children need.

We want to be there to help.

We want to provide more food, more clothing, more educational support, more hygiene and personal care products and more emergency assistance to families who need it.

Yeshua’s Hand Foundation isn’t about one person.

It’s about all of us.

It’s about the person who donates £5.

The person who gives a bag of clothes.

The person who buys a box of food.

The person who shares our fundraiser.

The person who gives their time.

And the person who simply believes that helping someone else matters.

Our journey started with one family in Riverton.

It grew into helping a wider community.

Now we want to take the next step.

2024 was the beginning.

2027 is our opportunity to reach even further.

We want to support more families, help more children, provide more food, distribute more essentials and be there for people when they need a helping hand.

We want every person we meet to know that they matter, their children matter and they have not been forgotten.
