No Safe Place: Yasir's Battle for His Family’s Survival in G

I am Maha's mother, and I am writing to you with a heavy heart from Gaza. By now, many of you may be aware of the current and heartbreaking situation unfolding in Gaza. It pains me deeply to share that my family and I are currently trapped in Gaza, desperately searching for asylum and safety.

As I write this, tears are streaming down my face. I beg for help to save my family and myself from a nightmare that seems to never end. We lost everything - our home, our safety, our dreams, our memories, and many of my family were martyrs

My family lost everything - their job, their home and their future. The only thing that remains is you and the hope that you plant in our hearts that there is a future waiting for us. Over the course of 15 months that passed as if it were 15 years in which we suffered from all kinds of injustice, pain, loss, hunger and loss, and the suffering did not end, we still have a long way to recover. I place my hope in your hands, and I beg for your help to help us escape this tragedy before it is too late.

After many years of happiness, love and a beautiful home full of laughter and games, it was all gone in an instant.

We left our house under the sound of shells and bullets, and looked around every corner as if we were saying goodbye to it. My kids were afraid to pick up their toys for fear of getting scratched. Their innocent minds could not imagine that something else was waiting for them.

It scares me to think about what I might do for them. When we returned, we wished we had not returned. We did not find a house and did not know any of its features. The house had become scattered rubble.

The cost of survival

The war was completely devastating. We have lost everything and now we need a fresh start. I understand the challenges that stand in our way, but I am determined to rebuild our home, provide shelter for my family and provide a suitable place in which we can live. I can't do this alone. You are the hope and the light in the midst of this darkness in which we live and live That's why I'm here today.
