Help Yasmin Secure Her Twins' Future

I am Yasmin & I am laying my heart & life bare as I have reached a critical moment in life & must accept when help, ALL THE HELP, is needed. Here is me at my most vulnerable, sharing a story I rarely tell in its entirety. Even if you cannot make the photo sessions, please consider contributing. Every small amount helps.

In October 2019, I returned to New York after 10 years in Switzerland. I never imagined I would once again call Long Island home, but this is life. I was in my second trimester of a twin pregnancy and had recently separated from my partner, who I had lived with for 5 years and actively planned an "eternal" future with. While the twins' timing was a surprise, having children and building a family was always part of the plan. Life as I knew it came to a screeching halt as soon as my gynecologist confirmed my pregnancy to my partner & I (yes, he was present at the initial appointments). We entered a really tumultuous period in our relationship & I made the painful decision to return home, as I was pregnant for the first time and it was twins.

We kept in contact and made plans for his presence at the birth of the children. We agreed on last names, he expressed his extreme excitement at having his "dream" of boy/girl twins. We regularly discussed baby names during our relationship, so I named one of the twins using one of the special names from our list. We started trying to map what co-parenting would look like. Then, 3 months before I was due to give birth, all communication ceased, never to be resumed again.

Fast forward to today, I am a complete single mother -zero child support, zero shared custody, a true non-stop labor of love. With the help of my mother and family to ensure the children are growing in a stable fashion, I am also able to maintain sanity and internal peace.

I have been locked in a 2 year international paternity case. My ex's silence has come with zero financial assistance for the children, zero recognition, & a slow total distancing from the few family members who were involved in the children's lives.

This brings me to why I am organizing this request for help. LEGAL BILLS. I have had to hire TWO sets of lawyers: in New York and in Switzerland. I have had to hire legal experts to provide opinions, as this case is international and must follow strict rules laid out by The Hague, I have also had to travel between the two countries - you can see the $$$ growing. We are finally very close to finalizing this legal battle. However, the ending is the most intense and resource depleting part of the process.

My ex ignored the case for the first TWO years. Then, in May 2024 he suddenly appeared by launching 2 countersuits in Switzerland against me. I successfully fended those off and the court clearly stated they could see through his ruse at attempting to delay the case further and continued attempts at ignoring responsibility. While I was successful in beating the countersuits, they came at a price of having my Swiss lawyer work double time: the paternity case & the countersuits $$$

What I am proposing is my skills behind the camera for you to come and enjoy and pay what you wish/can. Opportunities will be in Geneva, Switzerland & Long Island, NY. All money donated will go towards the legal bills associated with my paternity case. Finalizing this paternity legal battle will ensure my twins are not made to unduly suffer for the irresponsibility of one person. It will make my ex accountable. It will secure a stable upbringing for Eve & Maximilian, as they continue to flourish despite the storm brewing.

These sessions are usually a minimum of $400 and can be as much as $1,500+, but you can pay as you wish or can afford.

My goal is $10,000 by July 31, 2024, to take this case to the finish line & secure my children's future. Even if you cannot make the sessions, please consider contributing. Every small amount counts.

Once the case is finalized, my ex will be made financially responsible and the children will be able to access their Swiss nationality, opening more doors for their future.
