Help Yanique's Family Rebuild After Hurricane Melissa

Hello everyone,
My name is Yanique Cummings-Miller, and I currently live in Wylie, Texas, but I was born and raised in Hope Well, Westmoreland, Jamaica. I’m starting this fundraiser to help my aunt, her three children, and her partner, who were severely affected by Hurricane Melissa, a category five hurricane which made landfall in Jamaica on October 28, 2025.
The western end of the island, including our hometown of Hope Well/Darliston, was among the hardest hit. My aunt’s family lost everything, their home, livestock, and small business that provided for their daily needs. I grew up very close to them; they helped raise me, and their home has always been a place of love, laughter, and community. Seeing them now with nothing breaks my heart.
All donations will go directly toward helping my aunt and her family rebuild their home and restart their small business. Specifically, the funds will be used for:
Purchasing building materials (lumber, zinc sheets, cement, nails, etc.)
Replacing essential household items (beds, clothing, kitchen supplies)
Buying livestock (goats and chickens) to help them restore their income
Supporting the children with school supplies and uniforms
I will personally ensure that all funds are delivered directly to my aunt and used exactly as stated above. I’ll also share updates and photos of the rebuilding process so donors can see the impact of their generosity.
Any contribution, big or small, will help my family take another step toward recovery. Thank you all for your kindness, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
