Help Yahama Tunson

Edward “Yahama” Tunson is a highly skilled martial artist based in Chicago. While he is highly trained in a number of disciplines, he has developed a form of his own called Shugunda, which is based on African martial arts. As a lifelong resident of this city, Yahama is a core part of the African American martial arts community in Chicago, and is connected to the revolutionary history of the city as a former Black Panther Cub. His dream is to set up and run a school to teach Shugunda. However, in recent months, Yahama has suffered from health problems, police harassment, and housing insecurity.
