Our Club Needs Your Help
Overnight, Woonona Boardriders Club suffered a devastating act of vandalism.
An arsonist deliberately set fire to our club trailer, destroying everything stored inside. The trailer contained essential equipment used to run our local events, competitions, and community surf days.
Years of club infrastructure and electrical equipment were lost in minutes.
This is equipment that helps us run events for local kids, families, and the surf community that makes Woonona such a special place.
What Was Lost
The fire destroyed:
• The club trailer
• Event infrastructure used for competitions
• Electrical and timing equipment
• Surf event setup gear
• Essential club equipment used for junior development
Without this gear, it becomes extremely difficult to run our competitions and support the next generation of surfers.
Why This Matters
Woonona Boardriders isn’t just a surf club.
It’s where kids:
• build confidence
• learn respect for the ocean
• make lifelong friendships
• stay active and connected to the community
Many of our young surfers dream of competing one day, and our club gives them their first opportunity to get in the water and have a go.
We refuse to let an act of vandalism stop that.
Our Goal
We are raising funds to help replace:
• A new event trailer
• Competition and judging equipment
• Electrical gear and speakers
• Event setup infrastructure
Every dollar will go directly toward rebuilding the club and getting our kids back in the water.
The Show Will Go On
While this is a major setback, our committee and volunteers are determined to keep the club moving forward.
The Woonona community is strong, and together we will rebuild.
If you can donate even a small amount it will make a huge difference.
If you can’t donate, please share this page to help spread the word.
Let’s show that our community is stronger than one act of destruction.
Thank you for supporting Woonona Boardriders and the next generation of surfers.
