My name is Monique Hughes, and I am the founder of The DOT House, Inc., a nonprofit organization created in honor of my mother, Dorothy "Dot" Toler.

The DOT House was born from a desire to make a difference where our world has too often failed vulnerable women. Our mission is to provide hope, housing, and supportive services to women experiencing homelessness, hardship, and life transitions throughout the Charlotte community.

Although we are in our founding stages, we believe that helping women cannot wait. Every woman deserves safety, dignity, and the opportunity to rebuild her life.
