"Before I couldn't even speak with tourists. I felt ashamed and afraid of making mistakes. But now I'm not afraid anymore. I know the food I serve is good and I can communicate better with them. That brings me so much joy."
These are the words of Doña Josefina, a woman from Nuevo Huacas in the Amazonian Andes who discovered that learning new skills transforms not just her work, but her confidence.
The Challenge
Travelers arrive with different dietary needs: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, religious restrictions. For the women in our communities, meeting these needs is an opportunity to serve better without losing their identity or the richness of their traditional cuisine.
The Solution
With your help, we'll train 15 women in culinary skills. An international chef will work alongside them to develop vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free dishes using local, seasonal, organic ingredients—always honoring each community's recipes and traditions.
Your Donation Counts
Every contribution is an investment in women who want to live from their land, preserve their traditions, and share the best of their culture with the world.
Because when a woman stops saying "I'm afraid" and starts saying "I'm not afraid anymore," her life changes. Her family's life changes. The whole community is strengthened.
Training dates: September 14-25, 2026
