This year has been incredibly difficult. My sweet Chinese Crested, Sketch, was by my side for over 15 years. She fought bravely against congestive heart failure, but when her suffering became too much, I made the heartbreaking decision to have her euthanized at home in my arms on February 12th. The emergency room visits, vet appointments, heart medications, and the costs of euthanasia and cremation have left me with bills I simply can’t pay. I’ve been mourning her loss for months, and the emotional and financial toll has been overwhelming.

Just as I was trying to recover, my 2006 Nissan truck—which I rely on for everything—started leaking oil. When I brought it in for service, I learned it needs several urgent repairs: valve cover gasket replacement, cam sensor o-rings, a cooling system flush, new spark plugs, and even a timing chain replacement. The total cost is far beyond what I can manage. I live on a very small social security income and try to make ends meet by boarding dogs and selling homegrown food and flowers, but it’s not enough to cover these unexpected expenses.
