Help with the purchase of a shredder on Bonaire

My name is Rob and I am starting this Gofundme page to help Johan van Blerk from Tera Barra on Bonaire to purchase a Shredder for the replanting projects on Bonaire. Tera Barra is a non profit foundation on Bonaire, in the Dutch Caribbean, dedicated to replanting the native species of trees and shrubs on Bonaire and bringing them back to the Island to thrive. He has set up a large plant nursery on a plot of land and plants native trees and shrubs to use in reforestation projects and gardens throughout the Island. For that purpose a lot of furtile soil is needed, which Johan produces himself, collecting garden waste from all over the island, shredding it and mixing it with donkey droppings that he receives from The Donkey Sanctuary. This mixture works really well for the purpose and he uses lots of it for the projects.

To create the compost he uses an old small shredder to shred the garden waste prior to mixing it. This small shredder is barely managing the needed quantity and makes it an even more labour intensive process than it already is.

He has now found a large commercial shredder on the island, used but as new, that will be much more suited for the job. The cost of this shredder is $ 20,000 (almost $ 40,000 when new).

Johan is a very nice, caring hard working person and like many other people on the island I have a warm heart for him and would like to support him.
