Help with the loss of our mom
Donation protected
On July 23rd, my 18-year-old brother Sage took our beloved mother, Ashley Donnelly, to the hospital in critical condition. We did not know this would be the last time we saw her fully conscious. For the last two months, she stayed strong and continued to fight battles at the hospital, both mentally and physically. After being on dialysis for a month, there was nothing else the doctors could do. As a family, we made the decision to move our mom into hospice, where she rested until her passing on Friday, September 16th.
This situation is especially tragic for my 11-year-old brother John "Jack" Donnelly (seen on the right of the second photo), who also lost his father, John Donnelly IV, on June 26th, 2021. Jack just started fifth grade. It breaks my heart to think about him going through his adolescence without his mom or dad who won’t be at his graduations or milestones like they were for me. I am grateful to my dad and stepmom, Phil and Jamie Borghese, who have opened their home to him and plan on raising him with unconditional love, respect, and support. Nevertheless, it is devastating for any child to have to go through this.
Any amount you can donate will be appreciated, even just $5. All donated funds will be split between the three of us, though a bigger portion will be set aside for Jack and his future. This is such an unfortunate situation. We thank anyone who even considers supporting us through this difficult time.
Lastly--
To anyone reading, I want you to be vigilant about the subtle signs of alcoholism. I encourage you to seek help if you’re struggling. By the time I noticed this disease was affecting my mom it was too late. With professional intervention early, you can save someone’s life.
