Help With Tanner's Family's Legal Battle

My name is Duane and I am creating this campaign on behalf of my close friend Tanner and his family who needs help right now.

Tanner’s 13-year-old stepson, Clinton, was violently assaulted at baseball practice by another kid that came up behind him, put him in a chokehold, and lifted him off the ground strangling him until he lost consciousness. Clinton fell face-first into the dirt momentarily unresponsive. He suffered a concussion. This happened while no responsible adult was present.

From Tanner: “What’s worse, Clinton was supposed to be under the watchful care a parent with a long and documented history of unsafe behavior. There have been repeated failures using the Soberlink alcohol monitoring system, missed exchanges, and erratic conduct. Despite everything, the North Dakota court system granted unsupervised parenting time. The system failed to protect these children. Now this horrific incident has happened, and it is on us to fight to make it right.

Legal fees, expert witnesses, and continued medical follow-ups are crushing us. We never wanted to ask for help, but we are out of options. Every dollar will go toward protecting Clinton and his brother, securing better legal support, and making sure this never happens again.
