Hello, We all know that special someone who is always willing to help others and gives without asking for help from others. Well, that someone that I know and love is my daughter, Jill Coppersmith. On Monday, August 1, 2022, she took her car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and a transmission flush. She was told that they couldn't do the transmission flush because they didn't have any transmission fluid! So she paid for the oil change and left the facility. Within a few minutes, the car began having problems. Her car had to be towed twice, once back to her house and then the second time to Honda, where she was informed that the transmission was damaged and would need to be replaced! We are not certain what happened at Jiffy Lube except that the manager did note that he saw the transmission plug just laying on top of the motor. A police report was filed but not sure what that will do. So right now, Jill needs to either replace the transmission in her Honda Civic or search for another car. Either way, this Go fund me will help her in either situation. Praying that Jiffy Lube accepts some responsibility but not counting on that to happen! I know in my heart, that if this happened to any one of you, Jill would be the first one to help you out! In checking with Saratoga Honda service center, the total cost to replace the transmission would be $5300 plus $400 for the warranty! Jill does have some money to put towards this but still needs help in reaching her goal! Thank you so much to those who have helped Jill in this trying situation.
