My name is Josh and I'm fundraising for Will's Place: a new nonprofit cafe in Skokie, Illinois creating meaningful jobs for adults with disabilities.

Will's Place is named after one of my best friends, my younger brother, William.

William is a great guy. He's 22 years old, a wonderful baker of cookies, a big Cubs fan, and an adult with disabilities. William was adopted from Vietnam in 2001 and has been a bright light in my family ever since.

William can't speak but communicates quite clearly through other means including help from technology, gestures and context.

As an adult with disabilities, work and career prospects can seem pretty bleak.

That's why we started this new nonprofit. Since it opened this summer, we've watched it transform the lives of young adults and bring downtown Skokie a much-needed, quality lunch option.

It's not easy or cheap to keep a brand new restaurant of this quality - and this mission - going strong without cutting corners. And we're determined to continue to do things the right away - without compromising the customer experience or our core mission, to employ adults with disabilities.

That's why I'm looking to raise $10,000 to boost Will's Place with extra momentum going into the new year.
