Michelle Sharp is organizing this fundraiser for her nephew and niece, Willie and Jackie Bonner, and their five children after a devastating house fire changed their lives forever. On August 6, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Willie and Jackie were asleep when an abandoned house next door suddenly caught fire. They woke up to flames and smoke with only enough time to get dressed, grab their phones, and run from their home. They escaped with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Their five children were thankfully not home, and for that blessing the family is deeply grateful. As they stood outside, firefighters connected to nearby hydrants, but no water came out. While they waited for neighboring fire departments to arrive, the flames spread to Willie and Jackie Bonner’s home. They were forced to watch the house burn to the ground, along with their vehicle, and they now face this loss without homeowners insurance.

Everything is gone. Every bedroom, every piece of furniture, every bed, every appliance, every item of clothing, every pair of shoes, and the everyday things most people rely on without thinking twice. Willie, Jackie, and their children need help finding a new place to live and replacing the essentials that were lost, including food, clothes, underwear, shoes, beds for the kids, mattresses, toothbrushes, a stove, a refrigerator, furniture, and transportation. This family is not asking for luxuries, only for the chance to begin again and get their life back on track.
