Hi My name is Brenda Davidson & I am William’s paternal grandmother.

On March 18th we learned that Wiliam has been diagnosed with lymphoma (lymphnode cancer) with concern that it may also involve his bone marrow (leukemia).

He was admitted to the hospital and will be processed for chemotherapy as early as Friday. His care will be ongoing and may last up to two and a half years of chemo in Winnipeg.

William will be staying in the hospital for at least 6 to 9 months as he receives intensive treatment and his parents Sharness & Derek as well as his sister Mila will need to stay with him in Winnipeg. They reside in the remote Northern Manitoba community of Thompson.

On March 19th he had an echocardiogram, spinal tap and bone marrow samples taken.

This is a very difficult time for his family, and we appreciate everyone’s support, prayers, and understanding as they focus on his care and recovery.

If you are able to assist them with the financial burden they will be experiencing it would be gratefully appreciated.

Derek will be taking a leave from his job and they have monthly payments to make. Funds will be used to assist them to keep these up as well as for food and other costs of living away from home for an extended period.

Even just sharing the go fund me page will be extremely helpful in spreading the word!
