Whitehouse, Jamaica is a close-knit community of about 4,000 people, and it has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The storm struck near the eye, causing severe damage to homes, businesses, and churches. Many families lost their homes entirely, while others had their rooftops torn away, leaving everything inside exposed to the rain and wind. The need for food and clean water is urgent, as many people are struggling to meet their basic needs in the aftermath.

I am starting this fundraiser to help my family, friends, and neighbors begin to rebuild. The Williams Family, the Maxam Family—including my special needs family members—the Lee Family, and the Pullar family in Savanalamar are among those who have been hit hardest. These families have lost not only their homes but also their belongings and sense of security. Children in our community will need new uniforms and school supplies to return to school, and local shops need help to reopen so the community can recover.

Funds raised will go directly toward rebuilding stronger roofs, repairing and reconstructing homes and shops, replacing lost belongings, and providing food and drinking water. With hurricane season lasting until November 30, there is an urgent need to make repairs and provide support before more storms arrive. Every contribution will help Whitehouse recover and give hope to families facing an uncertain future.
