We are a mother/daughter team running White Lily Boutique, and our hearts are heavy as we share what happened to our small business. After spending two weeks packing up every bit of merchandise for two spring shows, we received devastating news early this morning. At 6:30 AM, the show organizers texted us that there had been an electrical fire. Two booths were destroyed, and our booth was right across from them. The tarps covering our booth melted in the heat, and the floor and anything close to it were soaked in ashy water from putting out the fire. Every product we own is now covered in smoke and soot.
We had planned to reopen our store on Tuesday, March 24, but now we must stay closed to assess the damages, repair our products, and reset the store. This means missing out on even more income, and when we do reopen, it will be with a Fire Sale—selling items at or near cost, which still won’t cover our bills. To make matters worse, our insurance had just expired, so none of these losses are covered. We’ve been struggling to stay open for a few years, and we refuse to let this be what closes our doors.
We need help from our community now more than ever. Your support will help us cover rent, utilities, and keep food on the table while we work to recover. Please consider helping us through this difficult time, and we hope you’ll come shop with us when we reopen. Your kindness can help us keep White Lily Boutique alive.
