Westmoreland has been devastated.
On October 28, Hurricane Melissa ripped across Jamaica. The western part of the island was directly in the hurricane’s path, and Westmoreland suffered catastrophic damage. Entire neighborhoods have been destroyed. Families who were already struggling to make ends meet have now lost: Their homes | Their clothing | Their food supply | Their sense of safety and stability
Many are living in damaged structures or sleeping outdoors under tarps. Families are going hungry. Parents are trying to figure out how to feed their children and start over with nothing.
No family should have to face that alone.

Help Westmoreland is a grassroots humanitarian initiative created to support families who lost everything. Although we now live in Toronto, our hearts and my roots are in Westmoreland.

We are collecting: Non-perishable food | Clothing for men, women, and children | Monetary donations
Every dollar raised goes directly toward:
Purchasing food, basic household essentials, and toiletries
Packing and shipping barrels of donations to families in Westmoreland
Supporting families as they begin to rebuild their lives
