Help West Philly Families Experience the Outdoors

West Philly Urban Outdoorsmen is a community-based nonprofit initiative created to encourage families in West Philadelphia to get outside, explore nature, and build stronger relationships through outdoor activities.

Many families in our neighborhoods are surrounded by beautiful parks, trails, fishing piers, and green spaces, but do not always have access to the equipment, transportation, supplies, or support needed to enjoy them safely. Our mission is to remove those barriers and create outdoor experiences that are welcoming, affordable, and meaningful for our community.

This summer, we are raising funds to support our upcoming camping trips for youth, families, and experienced WPUO participants. Donations will help cover the cost of:

Camping gear and supplies

Tents, sleeping bags, and safety equipment

Food and water for participants

Transportation support

Outdoor activity materials

First aid and emergency supplies

Program needs that help us continue serving families beyond this season

We will be collecting donations through the end of June to help make these camping experiences possible.

Your support will help West Philly families experience the joy, confidence, peace, and community connection that comes from spending time outdoors. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps us get one step closer to giving our participants safe and memorable outdoor experiences.
