Help Welcome The Spice Fam's New Arrival

Donation protected
Jeff Spicer and Jelly Veceda are expecting our first baby together the first week of August 2024 in Antique Philippines!!

We are so excited to bring, Nikita Adaline, a blessing into the world, but needless to say it has been tough being away from family during this time.

Unfortunately, my pension checks will stop for a few months as they adjust them so that Lynn gets what she is entitled to as the divorce is final and of course part of the agreement is that she is entitled to her share of the pensions. She is entitled to it she earned that. However, we never realized they can and would stop the pension payments until they finalized it and it of course being attorneys and courts the process takes a couple of months apparently.

normally we could just through a baby shower and invite everyone and that would help us. We are unable to have a traditional baby shower with Jeff's family, friends, and loved ones, so we are asking if anyone would like to help contribute towards the costs of our new baby’s supplies, and now living expensies in our time of great need due to not getting a pension check for a few months and everything here requires cash you can't pay with credit card for most things. it would be greatly appreciated! We love you all and thank you so much!!

The purpose of this “virtual baby shower” is to share our joy and make the process as easy as possible for you to assist us with welcoming our baby girl Nikita Adaline to the world to help ensure she has everything she needs. i have retired early and my pension is small but enough to support the family, but there are additional upfront costs that are not easy to absorb and anything you can do helps tremendously as just $20 can go a very long way here. Of course for some reason when talking baby items pricing tends to be closer to US pricing. However, you can see below the hospital and Doctor are very low cost when compared to the US but still a big cost item at $2k when on a fixed pension and not allowed to work in the Philippines. lol

Anyone that knows of a remote position in IT that will allow me to work from the Philippines though would also be appreciated.

We realise that crowdfunding is much different than a traditional baby shower and we thank you all for your support. We look forward to keeping you all up to date on our journey and as much a part of our lives as we can while abroad. Please follow The Spice Fam on Facebook to keep you in the loop. We and our new baby are so grateful for your love!

Also, deep deep gratitude for this land, people, and culture that has graciously and lovingly welcomed us.

Here is what your gift for baby will be going towards:

As a father to be and after spending several months preparing to have a child abroad, I truly feel that the best gift I could give my child is the opportunity not only to be an American citizen but the opportunity of dual citizenship. Given current events, global and national news, I believe the world I know is changing more than ever. My hope is that within their lifetime, they will see wars over borders become a thing of the past and embrace the cultural differences of the people of this earth to create a better future for us all. The advantages of being bilingual, growing up understanding multiple cultures and learning at an early age how to live naturally off of the land in a sustainable harmonious way, I believe is a priceless lesson and the beginning to a bright future.

Update: 7/14/2024:
It was bad enough when we thought we were going to get my pension but know it is just too much and we need your help. everything important hospital, doctors, rent, electric, etc.. requires cash and can not be financed on a credit card.
I guarantee I do not have enough cash to make and would have to become homeless in september if i don't get some help from friends and family. If everyone I knew just gave $5 it would cover enough so that we can keep a roof and food with our newborn. Of course if everyone I knew could give just $20 we would be able to cover everything until my pension checks started back.

Thank you we appreciate any assistance you can even if it is just sharing this link to others.
