I'm a father, attorney, and proud union family member asking for your support and solidarity as I work to give my children the one thing they deserve most right now: a space to call home with their Dad.

How did we get here?

Over the past two years I've been a victim of violent crime and domestic violence, and have had to move five times seeking safety and stability. My kids were present for more of it than any child should ever witness. I took FMLA leave for stress, and lost my position when I returned. I have a pending EEOC case and an NLRB case as a result. Through all of it, my focus has stayed on one thing: getting back to my kids.

Leaving a violent situation costs more than most people realize — not just safety, but time. Two years of ordinary moments we can't get back. Dinner together at the same table. Helping with homework. Knowing they had a place to come back to that was ours. That was the price of getting out, and we've spent this past year in therapy together, fighting to recover what was lost.

Our bond is real and it's growing. What we need now is a safe, stable space where my children can sleep down the hall, where we can play and cook together, where they feel settled enough to just be themselves again. A place where I can be their dad consistently — not just for the fun times, but for the everyday moments that really matter.

My children represent the sixth generation of union members in our family — one of the longest unbroken lineages in the American labor movement. From AFGE, CWA, IBEW, ILGWU, RWDSU, to IBT, that legacy is built on one truth: you show up for each other. That's what I'm asking for now.

I'm actively interviewing for work. What I need is a bridge — help with the upfront costs of a safe place for us while I continue my search for a job that can sustain our family.

Here is exactly where your money will go:
• Security deposit + first and last month's rent: $8,000
• Moving and storage: $2,000
• Vehicle down payment: $2,000–2,500
• Food and household essentials (3 months): $1,500–2,000
• Legal fees (EEOC and NLRB cases): $4,500
• Transportation and fuel: $500
• Clothing and basic household supplies: $500–750

My initial goal is $20,000 — enough to get into a safe place and on my feet. If we reach that, I'll share an update on what's still needed and where we stand.

Union families have always believed that an injury to one is an injury to all. If you've ever fought for your job, leaned on your brothers and sisters, or just needed someone to have your back — you know what this moment means. Help us find our space to call home. Any contribution makes a difference. Thank you for standing with us.
