Hoy vivimos una situación muy dolorosa e inesperada. Washington Saca fue detenido por inmigración en Minneapolis cuando se presentó de buena fe a una cita con migración como parte de su proceso legal. Él estaba siguiendo su proceso migratorio, ya tenía su permiso de trabajo y su caso de asilo estaba presentado.

Ese día salió rumbo a su cita, pero nunca regresó a casa. Fue detenido dentro de las instalaciones y desde entonces nuestra familia quedó en shock. Jamás imaginamos que cumplir con el proceso y presentarse responsablemente a una cita terminaría en su detención.

Washington es el pilar de su hogar y el principal apoyo para sus 4 hijos, quienes ahora enfrentan no solo el dolor de su ausencia, sino también una crisis económica muy fuerte.

En este momento necesitamos ayuda urgente para cubrir:

Honorarios de abogado de inmigración

Posible fianza (bond), si llega a ser aprobada

Llamadas y comunicación con el centro de detención

Gastos básicos del hogar (renta, comida, servicios)

Washington es un hombre trabajador, responsable y dedicado completamente a su familia. Siempre ha cumplido con la ley y con cada paso de su proceso migratorio. Hoy, injustamente, se encuentra detenido, y nosotros estamos luchando para que tenga una defensa justa y la oportunidad de seguir su caso en libertad.

Hello, my name is Ana Zhumi, and I am creating this fundraiser with a heavy heart to ask for help for my family.

Today we are living through a very painful and unexpected situation. Washington Saca was detained by immigration authorities in Minneapolis when he showed up in good faith to an immigration appointment as part of his legal process. He was actively following his immigration case, already had a work permit, and had an asylum application submitted.

That day, he left home to attend his appointment — but he never came back. He was detained inside the facility, and since then our family has been in shock. We never imagined that doing everything the right way and attending a scheduled appointment would end in his detention.

Washington is the pillar of his household and the main provider for his 4 children, who are now facing not only the emotional pain of his absence but also a serious financial crisis.

We urgently need help to cover:

Immigration attorney fees

Possible bond, if it is granted

Phone calls and communication with the detention center

Basic living expenses (rent, food, utilities)

Washington is a hardworking, responsible man who is fully devoted to his family. He has always tried to do everything the right way and comply with every step of his immigration process. Today, he is unfairly detained, and we are fighting to make sure he has a fair legal defense and the chance to continue his case in freedom.
