On sept. 3rd, our father was on his lunch break and resting on a day of heat and humidity. Our father, Eduardo- better known to everyone as Walter, was suddenly detained by immigration while on his lunch break at work (he was sitting outside) and sent to a Georgia facility. Since then, he has been constantly moved between ICE detention facilities. With only two-minute phone calls allowed per day and non-stop transfers, just trying to communicate with him has been a tormenting battle.

Walter is the funniest, most headstrong guy you could ever meet. He is a deeply faithful Catholic who never misses Sunday Mass or Monday adoration. His sudden absence has left a trail of broken hearts behind, especially for his daughters and his dedicated wife.

His absence is deafening; it feels like he vanished into thin air. His truck sits in the driveway, his books are on his drawer, and his closet remains untouched. Without the sound of his laughter and his hilarious words of wisdom, our home feels completely frozen in time.

Why We Urgently Need Your Help- We are in a race against time. Walter has a critical court hearing this week, right after his next facility transfer. He already has a pending case for his legal residency and a work permit and we desperately need to protect this progress and fight for his release.
