Hi all--our beloved Xicamiti is closing its doors on December 19. The owners, Walter and Paola Meza, are being displaced by the new Coors construction downtown and haven't found a new place to move in the area, although they've been looking since receiving their eviction notice in March.
A family business, they opened Xicamiti as we know it in 2017 in part to show their children what hard work could do and to be part of a community. You can read more about them in many local articles:

Besides being an adorable local restaurant, they are wonderful people. They show such delight when a regular walks in the door and yet treat every new face like a friend. I thought it would be nice to let them know how much we care about them by trying to support them on their next journey. They're still looking for a local place and debating moving back to a food truck if needed for a while. Either way, the costs are large on a small, family-owned business, where margins are thin.
Thanks for considering--and stop in before they close!
