Hello, I am the engineer Walid Tayseer Saleh Al-Qatrawi. I am 36 years old, a father of three children:

and I have lived in the Gaza Strip my entire life.

Today, my family and I are displaced in southern Gaza, living in a fragile and worn-out tent after being forced to flee our home and relocate more than once in search of safety. Each displacement has taken away more of the stability and security that my children once knew, and we are now struggling every day to provide them with a safe and dignified life.

The tent where we currently live is not a safe environment for my children. It does not provide adequate protection from harsh conditions, insects, and the challenges of daily life in displacement. We urgently need to repair and equip the tent to make it more livable, but our greatest need is to secure a safe temporary home for our family if possible.

Even after the ceasefire came into effect, the danger has not completely disappeared. There are still ongoing security threats, including continued strikes and shooting from the sea, which creates constant fear for my wife and our three young children. Living in a fragile tent under these conditions has become extremely difficult and unsafe.

We also need to build a private bathroom for the tent, as this is essential for privacy, dignity, and healthier living conditions for my family. In addition, we face serious difficulties in securing food, clean supplies, clothing, and other basic necessities of daily life.

The cost of renting a safe home in the area has become extremely high, ranging from approximately $700 to $1,000 per month, which is beyond our financial ability. Having a safer place to stay would provide my children with protection and a sense of stability after everything they have endured.

We are seeking to raise €10,000 to help cover our family’s urgent needs, including:

- Supporting our efforts to secure safer temporary housing.

- Repairing and equipping our tent with basic living essentials such as bedding, blankets, cooking supplies, and hygiene items.

- Building a private bathroom for the tent to improve privacy and sanitary conditions.

- Providing food and daily necessities for our family of five.

- Purchasing clothing and essential items for our children, Adam, Hala, and Nay.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, will directly help my family improve our living conditions and protect our children during this difficult time.
