My name is Waad and I have a beautiful family. I hope we will be fine and live without bombing. I hope to live without bombing and genocide or hearing explosions.

I lost my mother years ago and I grew up without a mother, but I had big dreams and a great future. I had university ambitions, but they were demolished and bombed.

During the war, my dad and step mum went out to try and gather supplies but did not return. I've been waiting for them and going to look for them in hospitals but have not heard anything back.

I am now solely looking after my siblings which includes a 2 month old too. I know nothing about being a mother or how to look after babies, I am only 19.

Help us get out of Gaza and live safely

I had many dreams, and ambitions to study and many people would wish me successes. Now my life consists of darkness and siblings that I care for, and there is no shelter for them and no life for them.

We are in Gaza, bombing, extermination, hunger, thirst, poverty, and famine. We are in great danger, and there is no water and food, and when I do not find money for them and medicine, I feel... With sadness and despair.

I was going to study at Tawjihi and graduate and become a lawyer or a doctor, but my dreams were shattered. I had a school principal and teachers who loved me very much and made me feel tender, but I lost them to the occupation and they were bombed.

Before the war, we lived a happy life far from impurities. It was a life of bombing and occupation, but it did not continue. I need your help so much I need you so much I hope you can help us.
