Hello, my name is Regina Cruzetta and I am representing Elke Hoelzle the presidente of non-profit Brazilian Society of Cookie Artists. ( Sociedade Brasileiro dos Artistas do Biscoito - SBAB)
Hello, my name is Elke Hoelzle.I am the president of a non- profit organization called Brazilian Society of Cookie Artists (Sociedade Brasileiro dos Artistas do Biscoito - SBAB) located in Brazil, and our mission is to help the decorated cookie market grow and be known here in our country.
We are having the opportunity to create a Decorated Cookie Pavilion during the Expo Cakes Brazil, a 10th edition event about Culinary arts, hobbies and party planning that will happen on the 18th to 22th of May in Campinas, state of São Paulo.
We are going to have a space to promote the Society during the 4 days of the event, during which the vice-president of the society and I are going to do live demonstrations and small classes. All the proceeds are going to pay for the costs of the event.
We will need the help of a volunteer during 5 days, one day prior of the event and the next 4 days of the fair.
Our volunteer will be Luciana Peace, who lives in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul. She needs to travel 400 km to the nearest airport to catch the plane to São Paulo.
She does not have the financial means to pay for this trip, and it’s going to be the first event to raise money for the Society, therefore we do not have funds to pay for Luciana’s trip..
I am currently paying for everything myself, like marketing, website, revenue, booth expenses, totaling around US$1.500,00, with the hopes that the Society one day will repay me back. I am going to have my own travel expenses, like airplane tickets, hotel and food, to name a few. I will not be able to pay for Luciana's travel.
So I came to you, asking you to please help me pay for Luciana Peace’s travel to the Expo Cakes Brasil in May of 2022, so she can support us, help us running little errands and staying in the Brazilian Society of Cookie Artists booth, while the vice-president and I are running around, solving any issues, doing the schedule classes, talking to people about the cookie art, etc.
My dear friend and student Regina is helping me set up this fundraiser, and all the responsibility for the funds, it1s control and distribution, taxes owned and other legal details belongs to the Brazilian Society of Cookie Artists. I am going to personally control the expenses, and provide to Luciana the means to travel to another state and volunteer for 5 days.
I am going to transfer the donations to Luciana as needed, so she can stay next to us in the same hotel (she found a cheap AirbNB but too far from the event, which would make things difficult for all of us, since we would have after-event daily meetings, we need to have a way to stock all the cookies, and been far from the revenue brings problems, not solutions.) , she can buy the plane tickets before it gets too expensive and so on.
Please take a minute to visit the site of the event Expo Cakes Brazil, as well as the Brazilian Society of Cookie Artists. My Instagram account will be available for you to know my work and understand a little about the Brazilian cookie market.
I am so grateful for my American friends and their support.
God bless you all.
Thank you very much.
