Help Viviana, a Single Mom, Fight for Her Life

Hello everyone,

My name is Grace Guerra Tobar, and I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my aunt, Viviana Tobar, who has been battling breast cancer since January. It all began when she felt a large lump in her breast, and after a series of tests, we received the devastating news that it was cancer.

Since then, Viviana has endured so much. She has already had her right breast and the lymph nodes from her armpit removed, and this Thursday (10 April), we’ll be receiving the results that will tell us what type of cancer she has and how we will proceed with chemotherapy and radiotherapy. This journey ahead is long, exhausting, and incredibly expensive, and that's why we're asking for your help.

Viviana is a single mom to her 5-year-old daughter, Alexa, who means everything to her. Alexa is the light of her life, and Viviana has always been the one who holds everything together for her. Right now, she needs help more than ever. The financial burden of cancer treatment is overwhelming, and while our family has been doing everything we can—selling food, pooling our resources, and supporting Viviana in every way possible—the costs continue to rise.

Though I live in Belgium, my heart is with Viviana in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and I am doing everything I can to support her from afar. The expenses here are piling up quickly, and we are turning to you for help. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward covering Viviana’s medical expenses, her treatments, and everything she needs to fight this battle.

Mi nombre es Grace Guerra Tobar y estoy pidiendo ayuda en nombre de mi tía, Viviana Tobar, quien ha estado luchando contra el cáncer de mama desde enero. Todo comenzó cuando notó un gran bulto en su pecho, y después de varias pruebas, recibimos la devastadora noticia de que era cáncer.

Desde entonces, Viviana ha pasado por mucho. Ya le han retirado su seno derecho y los ganglios linfáticos de su axila, y este jueves (10 abril) recibiremos los resultados que nos dirán qué tipo de cáncer tiene y cómo procederemos con la quimioterapia y la radioterapia. Este camino por delante es largo, agotador y muy costoso, y por eso estamos pidiendo su ayuda.

Viviana es mamá soltera de Alexa, su hija de 5 años, que es su mundo. Alexa es la luz de su vida, y Viviana siempre ha sido quien mantiene todo unido para ella. Ahora, más que nunca, Viviana necesita nuestra ayuda. El costo del tratamiento contra el cáncer es abrumador, y aunque nuestra familia ha estado haciendo todo lo posible—vendiendo comida, reuniendo recursos y apoyando a Viviana de todas las maneras posibles—los gastos siguen subiendo.

Aunque yo vivo en Bélgica, mi corazón está con Viviana en Guayaquil, Ecuador, y estoy haciendo todo lo que puedo para apoyarla desde aquí. Los gastos se están acumulando rápidamente, y por eso estamos recurriendo a ustedes para pedir ayuda. Cada donación, sin importar el tamaño, se destinará directamente a cubrir los gastos médicos de Viviana, sus tratamientos y todo lo que necesita para luchar en esta batalla.
