Hello!

I have exciting news!!! Vivian is now the sole owner of the home where she and her children have lived for 29 years!! Yes,God answered our prayers. I want to thank all of you for your prayers, love, care and donations. Your donations helped give Vivian the ability to make an offer. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I wanted to give an update sooner but it has been a waiting game with no news to share until now. The initial thought was that her house would go on the market, hence my first urgent letter to you to quickly gather funds so she could make an offer. Vivian put all their belongings in storage where it has been since May 2025. The house did not end up going on the market and she has been in limbo for a very long time. Over the past year Vivian tried to obtain multiple loans in order to buy her brother out and keep her family in their home, but none were successful.

Thankfully a cosigner came forward to help. Then more waiting until April 2026 she obtained a loan!

Once she knew she had financing she was able to make an offer to her brother through her lawyer. Her brother was not interested in negotiating so Vivian had no choice but to give him the full amount he wanted. Vivian, began filling out all the necessary paperwork for the closing. Tuesday, April 21st her brother finally accepted her offer. The closing took place on Friday, April 24th. Such wonderful news! My boss allowed me to leave work so I could attend the closing with her :)

Vivian and her children came over to my house for a celebratory supper and she told them the good news. She gifted each of them a pillowcase signifying they now had a place to lay their heads. They were no longer in limbo. There were tears of joy and relief. Her daughter told Vivian how proud she was of her and through her tears of joy yelled out “God provides! ”Vivian’s unwavering faith that God would provide for her family, whether they stayed or moved, is a perfect testament to who Vivian is as a person.

Once again, thank you to those who have already given. I know some of you had mentioned you were waiting for more definitive information before making a donation while others of you gave a partial donation with the intent to give more. Vivian’s mortgage will be increasing from $860.00 a month to $3100.00 a month, a very steep increase.

With any further donations she could set up an emergency fund account to help with any need that might arise. All donations are so appreciated and will bless Vivian and her family.
