My life changed in an instant when an apartment fire started in someone else’s unit and quickly spread, destroying the entire place I called home. I’m currently expecting a baby, and the fire took away everything I had prepared for her arrival—her new clothes, her bed, and all the essentials I’d carefully gathered. I also lost most of my own clothes and belongings, leaving me with very little as I try to rebuild.

The funds raised here will help me replace the things my baby and I need most, from her clothes and bed to a few basics for myself. It will also go toward finding a safe new place to stay so we can start fresh and focus on her arrival. I’m doing my best to stay hopeful, but it’s hard to face this alone.
